Why Forsyth Needs CASA
I have always worked to make a positive impact on the children in Forsyth County. I have done this through 17+ years of volunteering, leading and/or mentoring in the classroom and in many extracurricular clubs. One of my passions has been to help children in the foster care system.
Since 2016, I have been specially trained as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to help protect kids in the foster care system and work with families in crisis. I've seen how kids in crisis struggle to succeed. Hardships can overwhelm even kids and families with every advantage. School often means safety and stability for kids in difficult situations. The kids need the support of our schools, and the schools need the support of our community. I have advocated for my own children as a parent and foster children as a CASA volunteer. I will advocate for yours too as a school board member.
I’m Elaine Padgett and I’m running for the Forsyth County Board of Education in District 5.
I will use my many years of involvement in our community, my 25 years of Business experience, and my Fiscally Conservative mindset to best serve our school system and children.
I hope I can count on your Vote on November 8 or during Early Voting.
EVERY SINGLE VOTE Matters!
The need for loving adults to advocate as a CASA volunteer is ongoing. To learn more about the CASA program in Forsyth, donate, or volunteer, I encourage you to visit:
